Gasp it’s already August! That means it’s been more than 6 months since I’ve returned from exchange. Preparing to be a lawyer means July is no longer the month that belongs to my summer.
Watching: fewer shows than in the past month, mainly because classes have started again and homework is starting to pile up. I have managed to finish watching Heirs, that beast of a Korean drama that hyped itself up too much for its own good. More of smouldering Kim Woo Bin and Kang Haneul doesn’t hurt anyone though. I have just started watching I Hear Your Voice, which so far is quite funny and sometimes thrilling. I have also made some progress into the second season of Scandal, which feels so soapy in comparison to House of Cards that I sometimes ask myself why I continue watching it, and especially as I cannot tolerate Fitz the seemingly witless President.
Also keeping up contemporaneously with Pretty Little Liars and Suits. I wish Pretty Little Liars would stop deceiving itself that it has enough story to cover two and a half more seasons of TV. The whole fandom on Reddit seems to be getting pretty tired of its contrived plots and its characters’ exasperating behaviour. I am one of them. Suits is taking a different direction this season and I’m patiently waiting to see how it will pan out.
Listening: to quite a bit of new-ish music. Passenger has a new album out, and I am eagerly awaiting The Kooks’ new album. I’m also listening to Ed Sheeran’s new album, Nick Mulvey, Jesse McCartney’s new album, and The Head and The Heart (who I so far only know for Rivers and Roads).
Thinking: about how scary it is to enter the real world as a professional, who has to behave within the scope of so many ethical and professional rules and codes of conduct. God forbid I have to shoulder actual responsibilities in relation to the money and/or life of someone else with whom I share no blood relations with. (!!)
Excited: about the Pentatonix concert I finally managed to get tickets for. Legitimately. Without feeding the sharks that are scalping tickets online.
