Watching: Scandal at its third season. I still can’t help but make comparisons to House of Cards, particularly the characters and the style of acting. But it still makes compelling TV. Meanwhile, both Suits and Pretty Little Liars have reached their summer finales. I’m definitely going to miss both shows while I wait for their winter premieres.
Still crawling along on Breaking Bad. The friends I know who have tried watching this show mostly don’t find it to their liking. I do feel slightly sad that I don’t have real-world friends with whom I can share my interest in this show, but then again I know I’m slightly strange for my equal liking of both Korean and American dramas.
Listening to: Lewis Watson, who seems to be an up-and-coming acoustic-type singer from England, the Begin Again soundtrack (even though I didn’t even watch the movie; I just wanted to hear what Keira Knightley’s singing voice sounds like), Brooke Fraser, Monk & Neagle, The Middle East (good stuff!), Paramore, George Ezra and Grimes.
Working on: Part B assignments and deadlines. Sometimes life can be plain vanilla.
Excited about: my YOLO trip in October to Bangkok, smack in the middle of Part B (shh don’t tell anyone), and my family trip in December to New Zealand!
Reflecting on: the revelations that recently came to light that Malkie Malkay sent racist, sexist and homophobic text messages during his time as Cardiff manager, and comparing it with the outrage that exploded when he was sacked by Vincent Tan. Mr Tan certainly looks like he has emerged the better man.
